As part of the annual Oxford School District Teacher of the Year award program, each school in the district honors their very own teacher of the year, and high school science teacher Kendedrick Jones as chosen as the 2015 Oxford High School Teacher of the Year.
Jones will be recognized at the Oxford School District Board of Trustees regularly scheduled meeting at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26 in the Oxford Middle School Lecture Center. He has been with the school district since 2013.
During the board meeting, Oxford School District Superintendent Brian Harvey will publicly announce for the first time the 2015 Oxford School District Teacher of the Year. The 2015 Oxford School District Teacher of the Year will then participate in the Mississippi Department of Education’s 2015 Mississippi Teacher of the Year award process.
