Both Ole Miss and the NCAA are conducting investigations to determine whether or not All-American left tackle Laremy Tunsil violated NCAA rules regarding agents, as alleged by his stepfather, Lindsey Miller.
The Clarion Ledger reported that Miller revealed Tunsil was “riding around with agents” on the night of June 26 when Tunsil was arrested for a misdemeanor of domestic violence per simple assault after allegedly punching his stepfather.
The University of Mississippi Department of Athletics released the following statement concerning the matter:
“The University of Mississippi Department of Athletics is aware of the allegations made by Laremy Tunsil’s stepfather regarding potential NCAA violations involving Laremy. As we do with any allegation, we initiated an internal investigation last week and have offered the NCAA our full cooperation. We take the obligations to the NCAA and SEC very seriously, and we will continue to educate, monitor and enforce all applicable rules. Any other reports are speculation until the process is complete.”
