The Oxford School District did not send bus stop postcards as initially planned due to technical difficulties.

Kelly Graeber, communications coordinator for OSD, said on the school’s website: “…However, we have found another way to notify you about your children’s information. Please expect your child’s bus route information to come your way through a notification from School Messenger (automated phone call message) and website announcements via the Oxford School District website. Please know that we are diligently working to deliver bus route information to our parents and school principals. We apologize for any inconvienece.”

Concerning school-related traffic in Oxford, the police department notified the public of bus route plans on its Facebook post:

“The Oxford School District is implementing a new traffic plan for Della Davidson Elementary School and Oxford High School.

The City of Oxford’s completion of a new road will improve school traffic flow to Della Davidson Elementary School and Oxford High School when school begins. City officials say the new road will provide another means of access to the schools: it will relieve congestion on Sisk Avenue at Highway 7 by providing an alternate route for those traveling from the north. City and school officials encourage parents to become familiar with the new school traffic routes before the first day of school. The City of Oxford map shows how the new traffic flow will take place with the opening of the new road.”
