Ole Miss Rifle bolstered its future, as four-time Junior Olympian Alana Kelly of Acworth, Georgia signed a national letter of intent to join the program in 2016-17, head coach Valerie Boothe announced Friday.

Kelly won the 2015 Junior Olympic Georgia State Gold Medal and was an All-State Team Captain.  In 2014, Kelly was named to the All-State Team after winning the State Championship.

“We are so excited to welcome such a smart and talented young lady to the Ole Miss family,” Boothe said.

In addition, Kelly won the Gold Medal at the 2014 Georgia State Games and the Bass Pro Open and the 2013 Musket and Ball. She was named Area Champion in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Off the range, Kelly is an outstanding student. She is a member of the National Honor Society, an AP Scholar, Principal’s Honor Roll member and Scholar-Athlete. Kelly also has her NRA Level 1 Air/Smallbore Coaching Certification.
