Chris Cutcliffe Announced as New Oxford Head Football Coach

ohslogoThe Oxford School district announced Monday that Chris Cutcliffe has been named the next head coach for the Oxford Chargers.

Cutcliffe is replacing Johnny Hill who retired after this past season after spending 20 seasons at the helm for the Chargers. Hill coached for a total of 40 years.

Cutcliffe had played for Hill as a high school student. He was the starting quarterback in 2003 during Oxford’s Title game run and graduated in 2005. Prior to returning home to become the wide receivers’ coach over the last five seasons, Cutcliffe spent time as a student assistant with the Tennessee staff and as a graduate assistant with the Duke staff.

Cutcliffe is the son of former Ole Miss head coach David Cutcliffe, who coached Eli Manning at Ole Miss and is now the head coach at Duke.
