The U.S. National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee has forecasted rainfall through the week, including thunderstorms.

“Forecast rainfall totals through Thursday,” the NWS said. “Heaviest rain is expected on Wednesday. Some flash flooding may be possible.”

The forecast said the weather would start moving in today with an 80 percent chance of rain.

“Wet and unsettled weather will begin on Tuesday and continue through late week. One to 3 inches possible…with locally higher amounts,” the NWS said.

The heaviest of the rainfall is expected tomorrow with at least a quarter to a inch in the morning and again in the evening. The rainfall will continue through Thursday and possibly Friday morning with a 30 percent chance of rain on Friday.

Nonetheless, it looks like it will be a sunny weekend for everyone to enjoy the Double Decker Festival on April 22 and 23. The high for Saturday is 76 and 80 for Sunday.
