Top Stories of 2017: Hogan Gidley Talks About His Rise in Trump Administration

Ole Miss journalism alum Hogan Gidley, who was recently named deputy press secretary for President Trump’s White House, says he owes his success to journalism professors at the University of Mississippi.
“I literally wouldn’t be able to sniff the fresh-cut grass on the White House complex … had it not been for the way Ole Miss prepared me,” he told Ole Miss Newswatch’s Abbie McIntosh.
In this Skype interview with McIntosh, he talks about the road that led him to this powerful position and how Ole Miss—and Newswatch—helped him get there.

Abbie McIntosh is a journalism major at Ole Miss.
