Featuring vocalist Lauren Shackelford, the Grenadines formed at the University of Alabama. Joined in the group by husband Michael Shackelford, David Swatzell, Jesse Phillips, and Brooks Marks, Shackleford’s laconic singing is buoyed by psychedelic-leaning pop.
The Grenadines perform Saturday, June 15 at Proud Larrys’ at 9 p.m. Cover is $7.
