Ole Miss men’s basketball team spent last week north of the border on a Canadian tour. Coach Kermit Davis sat down with the media on Monday to discuss what the team learned on the trip.
The Rebels returned with a 3-1 record, and the only loss came to Carleton. Coach Davis’ squad did overcome adversity coming back from a 10-point deficit at the half against Concordia with the use of a 1-3-1 zone.
Among the new faces in a Rebel uniform, Blake Hinson and KJ Buffen played heavy minutes as they each subbed for one another.
“Our 1-3-1 and our man packages are really simple right now,” Davis said. “So, over the next 60 days when we get back through individual work and team practice we have got to get better.”
Ole Miss will officially start practice for the upcoming season Oct. 1.
