A Batesville teenager was charged with having sex with a minor that allegedly occurred in the Lafayette High School parking lot Tuesday evening after a basketball game against South Panola High.
According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department, Kanoda Lewis, 18, of Batesville met a 15-year-old girl, also from Panola County, in the parking lot during the game.
Lewis is a student at South Panola High School.
Due to Lewis being more than 36 months older than the alleged victim, Lewis was arrested after an investigation and charged with sexual battery.
He was booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
