An Oxford mother has been charged in the death of her infant child.
According to the Oxford Police Department, Stephanie Henry, 31, of Oxford was arrested Monday and charged with manslaughter-culpable negligence.
OPD responded to 1101 Frontage Road at 4 a.m. Sunday for a report of an unresponsive infant. When officers arrived, they began CPR until an ambulance arrived. The baby was pronounced dead at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.
Henry was taken before a Justice Court Judge this afternoon and her bond was set at $250,000.
OPD has not released the cause of death as of Monday afternoon; however, officials said more details will be released as “it becomes available.”
