Woman Killed at Gas Station Identified by OPD

The name of the woman killed Monday by a vehicle at the Marathon gas station in Oxford has been released.

According to the Oxford Police Department, Janie Allen Bradley, 82, of Cleveland was struck by a vehicle at about 1:10 p.m. while walking in the parking lot of the gas station on South Lamar Boulevard.

The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.

In a press release Tuesday afternoon, OPD said the investigation remains ongoing and more information will be provided after the investigation is completed.

“We would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the Bradley family,” OPD stated in the release.
