Masks No Longer Required on OUT Buses

The last of the lingering mask mandates in Oxford that required masks on local buses has been lifted.

As a result of a court order, effective immediately, the Transportation Security Administration will no longer enforce its Security Directives and Emergency Amendment requiring mask use on public transportation and transportation hubs.

This applies to Oxford-University Transit buses. Those riding an OUT bus, including University of Mississippi students and bus drivers, are no longer required to wear a mask while on the bus.

The Centers for Disease Control continues to recommend that people wear masks in indoor public transportation settings at this time.
