NWS: Severe Weather Likely For Oxford Today

A new High Impact Weather Briefing issued at 4:42 am, Friday, March 28, 2014 from the National Weather Service in Memphis, Tenn.:
There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms across areas along and south of Interstate 40 later this afternoon and evening as a strong upper level disturbance and associated surface low pressure system interacts with an increasingly unstable atmosphere. The primary severe weather risks should be damaging winds and large hail. An isolated tornado cannot be completely ruled out but should not be the primary severe weather risk.
Please continue to monitor weather conditions this afternoon and evening. Be prepared to act if a severe weather watch or warning is issued for your location.
HottyToddy.com will continue to monitor the briefings and update our readers as new information becomes available.
