The loudest Rebel rooting in the stands at Hoover Met today is Gale Hammond. Gale, in the slendid Rebel colors hat, is from Jackson, Miss. and attends all Rebel home games with her husband Jeff. Jeff and Gale have a place in Taylor, Miss. (outside of Oxford) and Jeff still practices as an attorney in Jackson.
“Someone has to cheer in this section,” Gale said. She added they seem to be surrounded by Tigers and Bulldogs today.
Gale and Jeff are members of the Rebel Bullpen Club and enjoy meeting the players “It’s even easier to root for the team when you know these great young men,” Jeff said.
