The Theatre Oxford Annual Ten-Minute Play Festival is one of the highlights of Theatre Oxford’s season, giving a number of community members the chance to participate in a stage production. This year, Theatre Oxford will showcase five plays and directors
The L. W. Thomas Award winner, “Ski Lift,” is a dark comedy from Chris Holbrook of Paris, France.
“We are also featuring the hilarious ‘Doin’ It Birdy Style,’ by Stuart Crafton, the Audience Award winner from the National Ten-Minute Play Contest,” says Meaghin Burke, a director of the festival. “Two wonderful local plays are also being produced: Jim Shollenberger’s ‘Lisa and Jerry,’ and Dr. Ron Borne’s ‘Hamburger Harold’s.’ Directors include Patrick Hudson, Mary Knight, Jim Shollenberger, and Rebecca Jernigan.
The Ten-Minute Play Festival will be held October 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m. and October 19 at 2 p.m. at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center. Tickets are available here.
