The North Light Art Gallery located inside the Orchard Oxford will hold a reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday honoring local graffiti artist Michael Carter.

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Carter uses a unique blend of graffiti and comic book elements to create unique paintings. In his special show, Carter will feature paintings of Blues musicians such as Charlie Patton and B.B. King to coincide with the upcoming Oxford Blues Festival on July 18.

The free event will also feature live music by local musician Adrian Dickey and a Blues-themed spread of food.
