Oxford Film Festival Seeks Donations for the Mississippi Day of Giving

oxford film festivalDo you want to make a change and give back? On Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 12:01am – 11:59pm you can be apart of Mississippi’s first Day of Giving and help Oxford Film Festival reach there fundraising goal of $5,000.

“Mississippi Day of Giving will help Oxford Film Festival reach its fundraising goal before the 2016 festival,” says Melanie Addington, executive director of Oxford Film Festival. “We are excited about working with GiveGab and Engage Mississippi by using this great platform to encourage online giving.”

Mississippi Day of Giving is a day is a powerful opportunity to unite Mississippians around causes in which they truly believe and help nonprofit organizations connect to the larger community. Oxford Film Festival will be handing out free stickers in the Grove at the University of Mississippi two hours before the Texas A&M game until half time.

“We would love volunteers to come help us give out stickers and other promo items to help educate the public about the Oxford Film Festival during the Day of Giving,” Addington said.

Supporters of the arts and non-profit causes in Mississippi can donate now until midnight on October 24th by visiting and electing to make a donation to Oxford Film Festival. A special perk provided by the festival will be a VIP pass to the 13th annual festival held February 17-21, 2016 when you give $50. After October 24, the pass goes back to the normal rate of $100. You save $50 and help a good cause!
