OES Second-Grade Insights Student Art Work Takes Shelter with the Blues Today

Published

on

The school year is winding down, and what better way to usher in a slow summer pace than with an eclectic end-of-the-year school event.

Join Ms. Bates’ second-grade Insights students at the Shelter on Van Buren today from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. as they showcase their artistic talents with over 130 pieces of art on display at the Shelter on Van Buren. Also, enjoy the acoustic sounds of North Mississippi hill country blues artist Kenny Brown and bassist George Sheldon.

Celebrate the artistic talents of school students as students, family, and friends—old and new—view relief prints in the style of Walter Anderson, art work using the Seven Universal Motifs of Adolfo Best-Maugard, oral history portraits rendered in pencil, and nature photography captured through the lens of a child. The student art work is presently on display at the Shelter on Van Buren.

Please come and join us, won’t you?
