Friday Schedule Opens Up Double Decker Festival

Double Decker is finally upon us. For the next two days, the Oxford Square will be filled with people, art, music, food and more. The festival begins today and while Saturday is the big day with nearly 200 vendors set up, the festivities get going today.
The Double Decker Oxford Artists Guild Friday Market will continue through 5 p.m by City Hall.
It wouldn’t be Double Decker without a bus tour of Oxford on the namesake buses. One tour has already begun, but a second one will begin from Visit Oxford at 2 p.m.
Also on the schedule for today are artist demonstrations on the Square. A list of times and names can be seen below.

Beginning at 6 p.m. tonight is the music portion of day 1 with a concert from Jimmy “Duck” Holmes. At 7 p.m., Thaker Mountain Radio Show will take the stage for a live taping. Closing out the night will be the Muddy Magnolias at 8 p.m.
