The Giants have had trouble moving the ball offensively this season, only averaging 15.6 points per game, which is next to last in the league in scoring.
This season, Manning has thrown for 2,411 yards with 14 touchdowns, seven interceptions and seven fumbles.
The last time Manning missed a start was November 14, 2004, as Kurt Warner led the Giants in a 17-14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
