Rebels QB Commit’s Rise Continues with Elite 11 Finals Selection

The 2027 signing class for Ole Miss isn’t sitting near the top of the national rankings right now, but that’ll change as the cycle moves deeper into the summer. The Rebels are stacking blue-chip names, and some of the guys already committed are only going to climb higher.

One of the biggest reasons is the quarterback they’ve already locked in.

Chattanooga Baylor School four-star Keegan Croucher is headed to the Elite 11 Finals, one of the top honors a high school quarterback can earn.

He punched his ticket after a strong showing at last month’s Atlanta regional, becoming the 13th quarterback invited to this year’s event in Los Angeles.

For quarterbacks, the Elite 11 is about as big as it gets. The finals bring together 20 of the country’s best for three days of competition and training each June.

Croucher will head into the event with plenty of momentum. He transferred to Baylor School for his senior season after two years at Cheshire Academy in Connecticut, and his stock has continued to rise. He’s the No. 148 overall prospect and No. 13 quarterback in the 2027 cycle in the Rivals Industry Ranking. Rivals has him even higher at No. 50 overall and No. 4 among quarterbacks.

That kind of profile, paired with an Elite 11 Finals invite, is only going to draw more attention.

Schools that have already tried to flip him are not going to slow down. Kentucky, Oregon and Penn State have stayed involved, and this will likely give them another reason to push.

Even so, Ole Miss should still feel good about where things stand.

Croucher committed back in October and has stayed firm through the coaching transition. After his official visit last weekend, he said he remains locked in with the Rebels.

“My visit to Oxford was great as always,” he told Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong. “There was a lot of really good players there this weekend and I feel like we can get them all. I am locked in with Ole Miss. I’m excited to keep recruiting and building this class.

“I think after the OV season you’ll see a lot of wide receivers commit. I have a pretty good feeling about that. O-linemen too.”

The Elite 11 will only raise his visibility, but Ole Miss has done the early work. Now the Rebels just have to hold off the crowd that’s coming.
