The first Saturdays of every month in Oxford have plenty to do for all, and this Saturday along with the Oxford Flea Market in the HottyToddy.com parking lot has the Oxford Maker’s Market on the Courthouse lawn!
The local artists will feature handmade goods from paintings to refrigerator magnets made with vintage magazine clippings to sparkling customized hula hoops. Andi Bedsworth, owner of Art To Go, LLC, will be on the lawn with the Art Truck to create puzzles with children from noon until 2:30 p.m.
Due to new sod placement on the Courthouse lawn the market will be on the north side of the lawn, facing Ya-Ya’s Frozen Yogurt and the First National Bank.
This gathering happens every first Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Courthouse lawn, and in inclement weather at the Powerhouse. According to its website the vendor turnout for this Saturday may be exceptional.
The Maker’s Market, founded in 2009 by P.J. Blount and Dave Molina, is committed to providing space for the underexposed and unrepresented talent and handmade goods of any and all styles. For budding entrepreneurs, the Maker’s Market will have a marketplace space for them. First-time vendors can set up for free.
