Star Wars: The Force Awakens Grosses $57 Million First Night

Happy Star Wars Day!

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” grossed an estimated $57 million on its opening night on December 17.

Fans poured into theaters across the nation yesterday to watch the highly anticipated film. The last Star Wars movie, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” was released in 2008. The next film, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” will be released in 2016.

Today, Stars Wars fans will celebrate Star Wars Day by dressing up, host watch parties and continue to pour into the theaters to watch the new film.
