VIDEO: Oxford Community Marches Around The Square During Second Annual Pride Parade

This past weekend, the second Lafayette-Oxford-University Pride Weekend took place featuring a parade around the Square at 2 p.m. Saturday.

With a theme of “Liberty and Justice for All,” parade goers met at the University-Oxford Depot and strolled down Presidential Debate Way to University Ave., then to Lamar Blvd., around the Courthouse Square and back to the Depot.
Designed to create inclusive and welcoming spaces for the LGBTQ communities of Lafayette County, Oxford and Ole Miss, the event was organized by the Sarah Isom Center for Women and Gender Studies and Out Oxford, with local support from The Lyric, Proud Larry’s, Oxford Film Festival and UM organizations including the Center for Inclusion and Cross Cultural Engagement.
