Gov. Tate Reeves today signed HB 1029, the Broadband Expansion and Accessibility of Mississippi Act. The legislation creates a new central office – the Office of Broadband Expansion and Accessibility of Mississippi – that will be committed to coordinating and streamlining broadband policy in the state.
Here in the LOU community, Oxford city and Lafayette County officials took that offer and all city and county offices will be closed Friday; however federal offices will be open.
