Warrants Served, Simple Assault And More In Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: two lost property, uttering forgery, harassing phone call, two suspicious person, suspicious vehicle two malicious mischief, four suspicious activity, 911 hang-up, petit larceny, reported DUI, two fire department assist, alarm, two improper parking, motorist assist, animal complaint, trespassing two disturbing the peace, ambulance assist.
Oxford police investigated seven wrecks, issued 63 traffic citations and made arrests on the following charges:
No Tag and Out of Jurisdiction Warrant Served
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Simple Assault
3 Public Drunk
Disorderly Conduct – Failure to Comply and Public Drunk
No Headlights and DUI
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: accident, simple assault, three alarms, residential burglary, two disturbances, two harassment, four service calls, six suspicious activities, welfare concern, three traffic complaints.

Construction crew hit a gas line. Gas was already turned off upon arrival at behind Shoemaker Hall.

Burned popcorn activated the smoke detector in room 419 of the South Residential College.
A smell of smoke but nothing found at 49 Effie Circle apt. 15.
